2010 was the 50th Anniversary, Golden Jubilee of Tulip Time in Bowral. originally organised by a group of community citizens to attract tourists, it still boasts beautifully manicured lawns and floral displays to please the passer-by or keen gardner. Today a small fee is charged, but after covering overheads any excess cash is donated to the local hospital, churches and facilities in the area for the youth, aged and disadvantaged.

Visit the cash sandy expanse of Stockton Beach, Port Stephens. 32km of continuous mobile sand mass is the largest in New South Wales. The grains have been washed in from the sea and blown ashore to create dunes up to 30 meters high. Most were deposited six thousand years ago. The dunes can be explored on foot, by quad bikes, 4WD adventure tours or try ago at sand boarding.

Ellenborough Falls is located on teh Bulga Plateau in Elands. Although it is hard to find and a long drive, the waterfall; the longest single drop in the southern hemisphere is worth the trek. There is a 10min walk to the The Knoll, a lookout that faces the falls. Or take the 641 steps down, about 20mins to the foot of the falls. Remember to reserve your energy and water, for the climb back up
