Visit QDeck located on Level 77 of the Q1 Tower. Travel in a high speed lift that just takes 43 seconds to bring you 230 meters above the ground, with breath taking 360 degree views of the Gold Coast and the coastline from Byron Bay in New South Wales to Brisbane, Queensland. It is Australia's only beachside observation deck and even if you don't like heights, this is one to try. You won't be disappointed.

Brisbane is a great place to shop. With large open pedestrian areas and bars positioned in the center, it creates a great atmosphere. There are many buskers, street performers and many old fashioned malls including the beautiful Queen St. Mall with old fashion facades faithfully preserved.

The Story Bridge joins Kanagroo Point with the Central Business District of Brisbane. 6 years design to completion in 1940, 43 million vehicles use the bridge annually. Other than the tram tracks removed in 1959, the bridge stands unchanged. Today you can even take the Story Bridge Adventure Climb to the top to see 360 degrees of the harbour.

Take a riverside walk or cycle around Brisbane harbour and admire the bold towers hugging the waterside. A great picture when lit up at night. There are many bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Chinatown Mall in Duncan Street gives a wide range of Asian cuisines. Limited on Chinese, but Thai, Malaysian, Korean and Japanese is available. A great place to explore

16ha Roma Street Parkland is the worlds largest subtropical garden in a city centre. Designed in 'precincts' focussing in a specific type of flora, the botantic show piece is in colour all year round. Add some commissioned art work and this gives the park a relaxed, calm space.

Brisbane Botanic Gardens was originally established in 1828 to provide vegetables for the penal settlements. Today the 20ha garden is an inner city oasis which boasts a row of 150 year old weeping willows, ornamental lake and boardwalk.

South Bank, Brisbane is the place to head on a sunny day. Great outdoor restaurants, bars, an inner parkland with lagoons and boutiques. Full of character and atmosphere, you can easily loose time just watching the world go bye

Just 55mins from Brisbane, Mt. Tamborine Skywalk has an elevated bridge that enters directly into the upper and middle canopies of the lush rainforest. There is a 30m cantilever and a ground forest walk. Don't forget to visit Eagle Heights for great views of the coast

Formed over 25 million years ago, Captain James Cook named The Glass Mountains in 1770 as they reminded him of the glass-furnaces in his native Yorkshire. They are strouded in Aboriginal legend. Take a scenic drive or a pleasant stroll along of the circuits. They are truly breath-taking.

The first settlement in Maryborough was in 1847 for timber, sugar and engineering industries. Today there are many beauitfully restored buildings, some dated back to 1865. It is also the home to Mary Poppins' author PL Travers who created the famous nanny in 1934.

Opened in 1913 the Pialba to Urangan Rail Link provided transport for sugarm coal and passengers until it was closed in 1993. It onced extended a further 250m from its current 800m out to sea.

Hervey Bay has endless stretches of white sandy beaches and picture perfect villages. Known famously for Whale Watching between July to November, there is also a 14km foreshore walk and cycleway so you can take time to enjoy the scenery.

Take a helicopter flight over Fraser Island and see Lake Mckenzie, 75mile beach, the Maheno Wreck and Butterfly Lake, to name a few. The largest sand island in the world with only one hotel. Hire a 4WD or drive your own, it's all part of the experience.

All year round sunshine, Cairns is an international destination. It is the only place on earth where the protected rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.
